#22: Stroll through the Classic Car show tonight….corner of James & 4th St!

It's cheap and it's fun!! Take yourself and the kids to see the classics from around town…. there are a lot of cool cars in every shape and size, and perhaps the kids will get a kick out of seeing a vehicle that has a cigarette lighter, an ashtray, windows you have to roll up on your own, and NO DVD PLAYER in the back…. enjoy!!

#17: Take Dad to the Swedish Day at Good Templar today…..

I heard recently, from a life-long Geneva resident, that she had never been to Good Templar Park and really had no idea what it was all about! Many of us locals are in the same boat. Have you ever driven by and tried to peer into the little community of cottages to catch a glimpse of what's going on under the shade of the ancient trees back there? If so, then take yourself and your family to the 99th annual "Swedish Day" today, Sunday!

Today's event features AUTHENTIC Swedish celebrations and traditions, and tours of the darling little cottages tucked away in the Good Templar Park. For more information, visit www.swedishday.net

If you do celebrate with our Swedish citizens today, please come back and leave a comment… we are interested in getting your feedback on this cool event! Have a great Sunday!

#16: Pack up the car (mini-van!) and head to the drive in to see “Toy Story 3″…

Toy Story 3 photo for 365 Geneva site

The Cascade Drive In, on North Avenue in West Chicago, is one of very few "drive in" venues where you can take your family to view a movie in the outdoors!! Pop some popcorn, load the cooler with something cold to enjoy while you are there, and don't forget the soccer chairs! A veteran drive-in attendee will also insist that the children wear their pajamas to this event!

The show starts at 8:30, and there is usually a double-header! Starting today, the movies for the next 6 nights are "Toy Story 3" and then "Karate Kid" follows…. go to the drive in, it's a piece of America that you should enjoy before it's no longer available!
